Text Box: Chances are if you watch TV, you’ve seen a Jay Silverman commercial. Ever heard of Pepsi, McDonald’s or Nike? How about Michael Jordan, Jackie Chan, Matthew Perry, Ray Charles? These are just a few of award-winning TV producer Jay Silverman’s celebrity subjects. Thanks to Jay’s concern for kids, you now can add People Places to that list. Jay and his crew flew in from LA last fall, donating their time and talent to producing a series of TV spots to help recruit foster and adoptive families for children and youth with special needs. Jay is a long-time friend of Pygmalion School Head, Carol Bright. When Carol asked Jay for some creative ideas for TV advertising, his response was to come to Virginia himself and create. Jay Silverman Productions is known in the advertising world for its high-end work with big companies and big names. This time, however, his all-star line-up was a different brand of celebrity: foster and adoptive parents and former foster children who gathered to talk about the difference the People Places family has made in their lives. Why did Hollywood visit People Places? Here’s what Jay said, “This wasn’t work. It was a great opportunity to help great people do great things.
