Please keep in mind that the one-hour therapeutic riding sessions do not mean that the rider is on the horse for an hour. The program teaches not only riding skills but also basic horsemanship skills including getting to know your horse, grooming and tacking.  We also teach life skills that include communication skills, and building self-esteem and self-confidence.

Ride With Pride’s annual Fall Trail Ride was held in Augusta Springs on Sunday, September 25. Riders from Augusta, Rockingham, and Greene counties rode the 5, 10, and 15 miles trails.  Despite the damp weather, everyone had a good ride. We look forward to seeing everyone again next spring for our next ride.  Although the date has not yet been confirmed, we anticipate the spring ride being on or around June 4.
